can sometimes be really critical. Before using any information from internet researches, there are ways a professional investigator can evaluate their credibility.
One way to do this is to use what I call the natural instinct of a Private investigator which is “question who, what, when, where and how for any unreasonable doubt”. In addition, I formulated the top 10 questions you may look for When you need to evaluated the quality of some website.
1. Where is the source of that information originated from?
2. Is the website extension commercial , organizational, or a governmental one?
3. Is it related and relevant to the purpose of my research?
4. What type of information does this website provide?
5. Is it clear who is presenting the information?
6. Why should you trust what they have to say?
7. Can you tell when the site was last updated?
8. Is the information objective or does it seem biased?
9. Is the website consistent with a specific topic or does its contents various?
10. Trust your instinct, if your guts tell you don't use it then chances are that the information you find may not work for you.
